Steps To Salvation

Trust In Jesus Today!

The Most Important Decision You Will Ever Make

When it comes to our lives, there are many decisions we make. Some are big, and some are small, but there is one decision that stands above all others: choosing to trust Christ as your Lord and Savior. This decision impacts not just your life here and now, but your eternity. But before we can understand the beauty and power of trusting in Christ, we need to understand the full picture.

The Bad News

We Are All Sinners

The Bible tells us that “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). This means that, on our own, we are far from perfect. Every one of us—whether we’ve lied, stolen, hurt someone, or even just thought something wrong—has sinned. We have all missed the mark of God’s perfect standard. We all have fallen short, and no one is exempt from this truth..

Our Sin Separates Us from God

The second piece of bad news is that our sin has created a divide between us and God. Sin is not just a mistake; it is a rebellion against a holy and perfect God. Because of our sin, we cannot be in a relationship with God on our own. The Bible says, “For the wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23). This death is not just physical, but spiritual separation from God forever. Our sin leaves us hopeless, lost, and separated from the one who created us.

But now, the good news begins!

The Good News

Jesus Died for Our Sins

The good news is this: Jesus Christ, the Son of God, died for our sins. He came to this earth, lived a perfect life, and willingly took our place on the cross. “But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8). Jesus, knowing the cost, paid the price for all our wrongs, so that we could be forgiven. His death on the cross was the ultimate sacrifice, and it was through His blood that the penalty for sin was paid in full.

We May Have Eternal Life

The most incredible part of the good news is this: because of Jesus’ death, we can have eternal life. Jesus didn’t stay dead—He rose again, conquering sin and death once and for all. By accepting Him as our Savior and Lord, we are forgiven, restored to a relationship with God, and promised eternal life. The Bible promises, “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16).

How Can You Know for Sure You Are Saved?

You may be asking, “How can I be sure that I am saved?”

The answer is simple: trust in Jesus Christ and accept Him into your heart. Salvation is not about being perfect or doing good works; it’s about placing your faith in Jesus Christ alone. The Bible says, “If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved” (Romans 10:9). It’s a matter of faith in Him, not in ourselves.

What to Do Next

If you realize today that you need Jesus in your life, you can pray a simple prayer, acknowledging your need for forgiveness, accepting His sacrifice, and inviting Him into your heart.

Here’s a simple prayer you can pray:

“Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner. I confess my sins to You, and I believe that You died for my sins and rose again. I ask for Your forgiveness and invite You into my life as my Lord and Savior. Thank You for Your grace and for giving me the gift of eternal life. In Your name, Amen.”

When you pray this prayer with a sincere heart, you are taking the first step to a new life in Christ. You can know for sure that you are saved!
